Lonicera nitida 'Lemon Beauty'
Box-leaf Honeysuckle 'Lemon Beauty'
Caprifoliaceae
Kept outdoors in a sheltered location. Establishing slowly but appearing healthy. Size has remained compact so far.
Care
Responds well to clipping and is commonly used for low hedging, edging, or geometric forms. Prune any time during the growing season to maintain shape. The ‘Lemon Beauty’ cultivar is more cold-sensitive than the straight species — site in a sheltered location in zone 6b and protect from harsh winter wind exposure. Small, fragrant flowers attract pollinators. The bright gold-and-green variegated foliage holds best in full sun; shade causes the leaves to revert toward green.
